·         Saturday, October 11th, Houston Bonsai Society Fall Show and Activities at Mercer Botanic Gardens, 9am – 3pm. There will be a free exhibit, bonsai sale with out of town vendors and perhaps a Swap Meet. Two famous guest artists Pedro Morales and Boon Manakitivipart will be conducting lectures/demos and workshops.

·         October 11, 2014 -  MSGCBS Workshop at Diamondhead, MS, 10:00am – 3:00pm

·         October 11 & 12, 2014 – Carolina Bonsai Expo, North Carolina Arboretum, 100 Frederick Law Olmsted Way, Ashville, NC, David DeGroot will be the featured artist.

·         Friday, October 17, 2014 Program: 7:00pm Adam Lavigne Presentation and Demo on Neea Buxifolia FREE and open to all members. Bonus: Adam will be bringing bonsai material for sale For anyone unfamiliar with Adam, check out his website http://adamaskwhy.wordpress.com Adam is a very talented and irreverent bonsai artist and you can expect not only an informative demo but also an entertaining one.

·         Saturday, October 18, 2014 Workshop: 9:00am - 1:00pm Adam Lavigne–Neea Buxifolia Tropicals are one of Adam’s specialties. A few spots are still open ($130 includes nice collected tree). Neeas are easy trees with tiny leaves that can produce beautiful bonsai. Contact Gerald Nolan to sign up. Preference will be given to those who had previously signed up for the postponed workshop.

·         Sunday, October, 19, from 1-4 pm: Adam Lavigne of Orlando will be in Lake Charles for a lecture/demonstration. Details TBA.

·      Saturday, November 1, 2014 Workshop: Bring Your Own Tree Workshop with Guy Guidry Guy Guidry, a GNOBS member, and for those new to the club – a nationally renowned bonsai artist, will conduct a “Bring your own tree workshop” at a specially discounted rate of $50.
